According to a new Facebook group “Western Australian promoters are currently in discussions to organise a Perth leg of the December 2011 Australian Eminem tour feating Lil Wayne & Hilltop Hoods. So go in and show your support here and if we are lucky they might be able extend the tour!

goldfields Goldfields on tour!

Rising Ballarat boys Gold Fields are excited to announce their first national headline tour since February.

With a debut, self-titled EP under their belts and fresh off the back of their Parklife dates, Gold Fields will be taking to the road in October and November to spread their frantic dance-pop ‘n’ anthemic jams in venues across Australia.

It’s been a hectic 12 months since the quintet seemingly burst out of nowhere at the tail-end of 2010. Gold Fields hit the ground running when their debut song “Treehouse” was plucked off triple j Unearthed and instantly added to high rotation. Their accompanying live shows quickly gained them a word-of-mouth reputation for being a high-energy combo of pounding drums, rhythmic basslines and herky-jerky dance moves. Read more>

So it’s lunch time and we’re up to our usual shinanigans around here and this seems to be the theme song to our Tuesday! After pulling it off the net this weekend it’s been getting a right good run through – And can you blame us!? She’s gorgeous!

This is a great lil video to compliment the song, love the docco style approach to see behind the scenes – If only all of us could live the life!

Craig David is back and this time with house duo Onelove. ‘Do It On My Own’ was serviced to radio locally this week and it’s easy to see why Aussie media ought to lap it up!

When we heard that Nicki Minaj and Rihanna was doing a duet we expected something with massive beats and a dance floor filler… well… that didn’t happen. Instead its a very serious song, its still great, just not what we expected…

Picture 1 More Eminem Teasers

The Eminem roumors are flying over the city atm but with Ticketek flashing a mysterious “My Name Is?” page this weekend the tour seems to be true.

The page got taken down overnight, you can still get access to the the sign-up page. The page appeared over the weekend and managed about 300 likes before it disappeared overnight!

On the page you could sign up for a pre sale for tickets, no dates given, which indicated that Empinem will be touting by himself instead of with one of the summer festivals. That said, when The Chemical Brothers appeared on the Future Music Festival, they’d announced headline shows a year in advance.

An un-verified website eminemtour.com.au, which directs to a Facebook page, has also appeared.

speak·eas·y (n): an illicit liquor store or nightclub during Prohibition.

As Dallas Green once sang, let’s redefine.

Speak·eas·y (n): glow sticks, fun people, wizard hats and up-and-coming bands with tunes designed to melt hipster hearts. From the people behind Father, Mother and Cheek comes a monthly event that’s not quite a concert, and not quite a club night, but more like a sort of indie house dance party… A house party that’s in a club. With live bands. And a few hundred of your closest friends.
